Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current West Virginia teaching license with appropriate endorsement (ANY of: Autism Spectrum [AS], Learning Disabilities [LD], Behavior Disorders [BD], or Mild/Moderate Impairments [MI])
- Previous experience in special education settings preferred
- Comfortable with in-person or virtual instruction as assigned
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with staff, students, and families
- Ability to adapt lesson plans based on student needs
- Passion for supporting diverse learners with individualized plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students on your assigned caseload
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and family members
- Use a variety of instructional techniques and assistive technologies
- Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings as required
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment
