Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Certification in Texas
- Endorsement in one of the following: Self-Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist (Matching relevant grade levels)
- Recent classroom experience, ideally within Life Skills, FASE, or other specialized education settings
- Strong skills in adapting curriculum, behavior management, and individualized instruction
- Commitment to collaboration and positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective, individualized instruction in a FASE classroom for students with a variety of abilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that address IEP goals and adapt activities for student needs
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress; participate in ARD/IEP meetings as required
- Collaborate with staff, therapists, and families to support a holistic approach for each child
- Maintain a structured, positive, and safe classroom environment to encourage learning and social-emotional development
