Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives by supporting inclusive education as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract opportunity requires passionate, skilled educators with a commitment to excellence and strong classroom management. There are four openings available: one at the middle school level and three at the high school level, each focusing on a core subject area—Science, Math, or Social Studies.
You’ll work onsite in a dynamic and supportive environment from late August through early June, helping diverse learners achieve their academic goals.
Your Role Will Require:
- An active certification/licensure appropriate to the student caseload
- A bachelor’s degree (required for emergency teaching permit eligibility)
- Previous school-based experience, ideally within urban settings
- Expertise in lesson planning aligned with current state and district standards
- Strong classroom and behavioral management capabilities
- Ability to differentiate instruction and utilize formative assessments
- Familiarity with special education instructional strategies and resources
- Reliable transportation for regular onsite presence
- Flexibility to work within the fixed schedule; no alternate hours accommodated
- Mastery of content area (Science, Math, Social Studies, or general middle school curriculum)
Additional Details:
- Middle School: 8:30AM–4PM or 8AM–3:15PM (TBD), 1 position
- High School: 7:15AM–2:45PM, 3 positions (one for each subject concentration)
- Contract dates: August 24, 2026 – June 10, 2027
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Zoom interview required
- All PA clearances must be completed prior to start
