Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Current K-12 Special Education Certificate
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Background working with students with emotional disabilities and/or other special education eligibilities who experience difficulties with prosocial and self-regulatory skills
- Experience supporting at-risk students, those with limited English proficiency, and students from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of creating and implementing special education programs aligned with federal, state, and district regulations
- Willingness to complete Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training, if not already held
- Passion for fostering student growth in a self-contained classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, structured support for students in a self-contained behavior or autism classroom
- Develop and implement effective instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure student progress and well-being
- Prepare and maintain accurate special education documentation
