Seven exciting opportunities are available, including positions as a high school inclusion teacher, resource room teacher at the elementary level, and a specialist for a sub-separate autism program. With class-size caseloads and a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours each week, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive atmosphere.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Massachusetts SPED license required
- Previous experience teaching special education strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction based on individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
- Commitment to fostering student growth and empowerment
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement IEPs to support the unique needs of each student
- Adapt lesson plans for inclusion and resource room settings
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes
- Engage with families, related service providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and growth-oriented classroom environment
- Provide targeted support for students in designated autism or high-need programs as applicable
