Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state Special Education teaching certification
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning needs
- Implement IEPs while maintaining accurate documentation
- Provide small-group and one-on-one instruction
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Create a classroom environment that encourages respect and growth
