Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
- Experience working with early childhood (PreK) or middle school (grades 6–8) students preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Flexibility to serve multiple school sites
- A passion for fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in PreK or grades 6–8, depending on assignment
- Manage a caseload of 10–20 students (PreK) or 22 students (middle school)
- Collaborate with staff, families, and administrators to support student growth
- Create and implement IEPs and participate in IEP meetings
- Monitor student progress and document results, adjusting strategies as needed
- Employ evidence-based practices for both academic and social-emotional development
- Assist in transitions between grade levels and school sites as required
