Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting students’ growth in a collaborative K-8 setting. With multiple full-time roles available, you’ll make a positive impact in classrooms serving elementary and middle school learners with a range of developmental, behavioral, and resource needs. Positions are onsite only, with immediate start dates and assignments continuing through June 5, 2026.
Opportunities include working with:
- Elementary Developmental classrooms (15 students, 6 assistants) focusing on behavioral, ASD, and communication support
- Elementary Behavior program (Grades 3-5, 16 students, 5 assistants)
- Elementary Resource support at two nearby sites (35 students total, 1 assistant in each building)
- Middle School Resource (40 students, 2 shared assistants)
- Middle School Behavior program (15 students, 5 assistants)
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and valid Special Education Teacher certification/license in Oregon
- Experience preferred with K-8 students in developmental, behavioral, ASD, or resource settings
- Ability to work collaboratively in team environments with assistants and general staff
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Recent supervisor reference contact information for application consideration
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction based on IEP goals
- Develop inclusive lesson plans responsive to students’ diverse needs
- Provide leadership and guidance to teaching assistants in the classroom
