Key Qualifications & Experience:

- Proven experience or background in Special Education at the high school level.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and support staff.
- Commitment to individualized education plan (IEP) development and implementation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with a range of exceptionalities, focusing on promoting independence and academic achievement.
- Develop, adapt, and implement lesson plans tailored to students' varying abilities and goals.
- Monitor student progress, document observations, and update individual education programs as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively in place.
- Engage regularly with families to foster ongoing communication about student growth and needs.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
