Special Education Teacher in New Britain, CT

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state requirements fulfilled)
- Experience or significant exposure to high school-aged student instruction
- Proficiency in developing and adapting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Previous work in a school setting or with diverse learning needs is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Delivering specially designed instruction in a high school environment
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitoring and documenting student progress toward IEP goals
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary strategies
- Maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
