Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized and group instruction to support progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborating with general education teachers to assist students in their areas of struggle
- Writing and updating IEPs, ensuring compliance and effective student support
- Tracking student progress and modifying instruction as needed
- Conducting assessments and participating actively in student goal tracking
- Attending and presenting at IEP meetings, communicating effectively with families and staff
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Endorsement; candidates with a Durational Shortage Area Permit (DSAP) will also be considered
- At least two years of recent experience in teaching Special Education
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
