Exciting opportunity for a Special Education Teacher passionate about making a difference in elementary education! This contract role offers an immediate start and the chance to work with a diverse group of 15-18 students, providing both inclusion and pull-out services across all core subjects. You’ll help shape young learners’ experiences and support their growth every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with diverse needs in grades K-5.
- Adapt general education lessons to meet students’ IEP goals, ensuring curriculum accessibility.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff.
- Track and report student progress; contribute to IEP meetings and evaluations.
- Foster a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
- Experience with elementary age students and curriculum adaptation preferred.
- Familiarity with both inclusion and pull-out instructional models.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach.
- Flexibility to work at one or two nearby campuses during the week (schools are 2.5 miles apart), or stay at a single campus if preferred.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
