Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License (required)
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, support personnel, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to different classroom environments and caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring goals are met
- Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet unique student needs across various grade levels and classroom types
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administration to provide a supportive, inclusive educational environment
- Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress and support strategies
- Track and document student progress, making data-informed decisions
- Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment, promoting student growth and development
