Special Education Teacher - North Bennington, Vermont

What You’ll Need:
- Active Vermont Special Education Teacher certification preferred; candidates with pending certification are encouraged to apply.
- Experience teaching or supporting 6-8th grade students, especially in a self-contained classroom, is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with fellow educators, specialists, and families.
- Dedication to differentiated instruction and behavior support.
- Flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to making learning accessible for every child.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction tailored to IEP goals.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans for a small, self-contained caseload (6-10 students).
- Create a classroom culture that promotes respect, engagement, and growth.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to support each student’s needs.
- Monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings.
