Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Credential (California preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Prior experience working with students with diverse learning needs (mild/moderate or moderate/severe)
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Committed to implementing differentiated instruction and behavioral interventions
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum to address each student’s unique learning style and needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student achievement
- Implement evidence-based instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and growth
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
