Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (California credential preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within school settings
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborative spirit to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support students with varying needs, tailoring instruction and interventions based on IEPs
- Modify curriculum and adapt lessons to ensure accessibility and academic growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service professionals
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement and strategies for continued success
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities
