Make a difference every day working with students in a supportive educational environment as a Special Education Teacher on a contract assignment for the 2026–2027 school year. Contribute to several vital programs, including two dedicated Autism programs at the elementary level, one Early Childhood (EC) position, and one high school role specializing in intellectual disabilities. This is an onsite-only opportunity, as virtual options are not considered.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification appropriate for K–12 settings
- Experience or coursework specific to Elementary Special Education, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and intellectual disabilities
- Behavior Management or Behavior Endorsement required
- Previous experience supporting diverse student needs, including those with autism and developmental disabilities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with colleagues, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction, support, and a safe classroom environment for students with a range of learning and behavioral needs
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and regularly assess student progress
- Collaborate with school teams to develop strategies and accommodations for student success
- Engage in professional development and adapt teaching practices to stay current with best practices in special education
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all students can thrive
