Key Qualifications:
- Valid Maine (ME) teaching license required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
- Strong ability to develop and adapt curriculum to meet individualized student needs
- Skilled in managing high school caseloads with diverse learning challenges
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction for high school students in the ESY program
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress throughout the program
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Uphold school policies and classroom management standards
Position Details:
- Two immediate openings
- Monday through Thursday, 8:00am–12:00pm
- 4-hour workdays ensure a balanced summer schedule
- In-person instruction required
