Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as an Intervention Specialist in a supportive, inclusive educational environment. This contract position, running from August 17, 2025, through May 27, 2027, offers multiple opportunities for dedicated special education professionals. You’ll work Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours each day, and become part of a collaborative and committed team. There are five openings available: two positions in elementary self-contained classrooms, three in high school co-teaching settings, and an additional spot managing a moderate to intensive needs (MD) self-contained classroom.
Key Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Proven success in elementary or high school settings, with preference for experience in self-contained or co-teaching roles
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and data collection
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with staff, families, and students
- Positive, adaptable mindset and commitment to fostering an inclusive educational atmosphere
Role Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and adapt individualized education plans to support student success
- Deliver engaging instruction in self-contained or co-teaching environments, tailoring strategies to a variety of learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, administrators, and families
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation on student achievement
- Advocate for student needs to ensure equitable access to school programs and resources
