Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess a valid Arizona Special Education teaching certificate.
- Hold a current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in a resource or inclusive setting.
- Proven adaptability and creative instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication skills and the drive to foster collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to K-8 students with varying abilities, based on individual education plans (IEPs).
- Develop, implement, and regularly assess student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support student inclusion.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student strengths and areas for growth.
- Communicate with parents and guardians to share student progress and address concerns or questions.
- Create a positive, structured learning environment that encourages student engagement and self-advocacy.
