Position Overview
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide instruction and support for a self-contained Emotional Support classroom serving 4th and 5th grade students. - Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Daily Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Caseload: Approximately 12 students
- Grade Levels: 4th & 5th Grade
- Student Ages: 9–11 years
- Setting: Self-Contained Emotional Support Classroom
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals.
- Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies.
- Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License required.
- Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral needs preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
