Qualifications:
- Possess a Standard AZ Secondary Teaching License and a current K-12 SPED Certificate.
- Hold an IVP Fingerprint Card.
- Experience working with students with emotional disabilities or other eligibilities, and supporting students with prosocial and self-regulatory skills.
- Awareness of diverse student needs, such as at-risk, ethnic minority, limited English proficiency, and exceptional students.
- Demonstrated background in developing and implementing compliant special services activities and documentation.
- E.E.E.I. (Essential Elements of Effective Instruction) training, or willingness to participate in staff development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, onsite instruction to special education students in line with federal, state, and district requirements.
- Develop and oversee individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to meet each student’s educational goals.
