This contract position is full-time (37.5 hours weekly) and extends from the present through May 27, 2027, offering you the opportunity to foster student growth throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid, active Ohio license/certificate in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate).
- Demonstrated experience with IEP development, assessment, and implementation.
- Comfortable providing instruction in resource room settings, small group tutoring sessions, and inclusion classrooms.
- Knowledge of effective instructional strategies for students with multiple disabilities.
- Skilled in collaborating with a variety of staff and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on students’ unique needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance with state regulations and district policies.
- Adapt and modify curriculum and lessons to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to encourage success for each student.
- Utilize data and observations to inform instruction and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain meticulous and thorough records related to student progress and goal achievement.
