The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:30/7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, allowing for a balanced workday and meaningful engagement with students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Educator License with EC-6 Special Education Endorsement
- Required experience in facilitating Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, including active participation and collaboration
- Ability to support the diverse needs of students in a self-contained life skills setting
- Strict adherence to dress code policy, which includes keeping any tattoos covered, maintaining single-color hair, wearing professional attire, and limiting piercings to appropriate earrings
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with a range of abilities and needs
- Participate in all Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, providing insight and recommendations for student supports and services
- Collaborate with instructional teams, therapists, and support staff to foster a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and comply with all established documentation protocols
- Communicate clearly with families and caregivers regarding student growth and next steps
- Consistently implement school policies and classroom management strategies to promote respect, community, and equality
