Special Education Teacher - Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Massachusetts Special Education License (required)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in K-12 settings preferred
- Comfort with a range of classroom types, including inclusion, pull-out, and self-contained
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Commitment to individualized instruction and fostering a supportive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
- Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques for learners with a range of abilities
- Assess progress and adjust teaching methods to ensure student growth
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate
- Communicate regularly with parents, support teams, and administration regarding student progress
