Desired Qualifications:
- Special Education Teacher certification (license for MA or eligibility required)
- Experience with substantial cognitive and physical disabilities (K-5th grade preferred)
- Knowledge of specially designed instruction
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Ability to assist with toileting and hygiene needs
- Comfortable supporting both verbal and non-verbal students on the spectrum
- Collaborative, flexible, and dedicated to student-centered learning
- Onsite availability; travel candidates welcome
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with significant needs
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies, including ABA when appropriate
- Integrate closely with RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians) and multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Provide personal care support as needed, ensuring dignity and respect for all students
