Special Education Teacher in Plano, TX
Seeking passionate educators to make an impact in a dynamic high school setting. Two full-time contract opportunities are available for skilled Special Education professionals, both located onsite at a well-established high school near Plano, TX, with assignments running ASAP through May 21, 2027.
Openings include one Math Resource Teacher and one Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher. These roles are integral to supporting students’ academic progression and lifelong learning skills. Applicants must possess the necessary Texas Special Education certification for both roles, in addition to a Math Certification for the Math Resource Teacher, and a core content area certification for the Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher.

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Texas Special Education certification (required for both positions)
- For Math Resource Teacher: current Math Certification

- Demonstrated experience delivering individualized and differentiated instruction to special education students
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
