Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required
- Prior experience working in special education settings, particularly with behavioral or mental health programs, is preferred
- Strong organizational skills for effective case management, reporting, and student evaluation
- Ability to collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and adaptability to respond to the dynamic needs of students
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in a self-contained classroom for students with mental health and behavioral needs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 10-16 students
- Complete student evaluations and develop IEPs tailored to individual needs
- Fulfill case management duties, including documentation, progress reports, and attending/leading meetings
- Collaborate with related service providers and participate in data-driven decision making
- Foster a supportive, positive, and safe learning environment
This role follows the school calendar, beginning September 1, 2026, and concluding June 16, 2027. Hours range between 32.5 and 35 per week during school hours, providing a work/life balance ideal for education professionals.
