You will play a central role in 2 elementary autism programs, 1 early childhood classroom, and 1 high school class focused on intellectual disabilities. Collaborate with a dedicated team as you build strong, positive relationships within the school community and help transform students’ educational journeys.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current credentials in Special Education, with valid state certification
- Demonstrated experience in elementary special education environments
- Behavior endorsement required
- Familiarity with autism programs and intellectual disability supports
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work on-site throughout the assignment dates
- Commitment to creating inclusive, nurturing classroom climates
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate closely with classroom staff, therapists, and administrators
- Employ a variety of strategies to support positive behavior and engagement
- Foster meaningful family and caregiver relationships
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation
- Promote self-advocacy, independence, and social-emotional growth
