Qualifications:
- Active DESE license in moderate or severe special needs (required)
- Previous experience teaching or working with high school students with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Dedication to fostering a positive classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student’s needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize evidence-based interventions for behavior and emotional regulation
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and interventions
- Provide guidance, advocacy, and encouragement to students in both academic and social-emotional domains
