Special Education Teacher | Raymond, California

This full-time contract opportunity begins in August for the 2026/2027 school year, and is dedicated to serving a small caseload of 5th–8th graders with mild to moderate needs. You’ll be working directly on campus, collaborating closely with both the Principal and Vice Principal, in an environment that values individualized growth and strong team support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current, valid California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential (required)
- Demonstrated success as a Special Education Teacher, especially for grades 5–8
- Extensive experience managing and writing IEPs, including leading IEP meetings
- Strong background in supporting students with social/emotional needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with staff, students, and families
- Comfortable working onsite and fully in person for 35 hours a week
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for a maximum of 10 students
- Deliver targeted instructional strategies to support academic, behavioral, and social/emotional growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive practices
- Be an active participant in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and goal setting
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment tailored to each learner’s unique needs
