Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate with a special education endorsement
- Experience or strong interest in supporting students with diverse learning needs at the high school level
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside fellow educators and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, empathetic, and positive classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Develop instructional plans tailored to individual student needs, in accordance with IEPs
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Partner with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
- Communicate with families, providing regular progress updates and strategies for continued improvement
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school community activities
