In this role, you’ll work at a middle school site, providing individualized instruction, case management, and therapeutic support to a small group of students. You’ll collaborate with other educators, families, and specialized staff to foster a nurturing environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required
- Experience or strong interest in mental health and behavior-focused special education programs
- Understanding of evaluations, case management, and the IEP process
- Effective communicator, able to partner with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Organized, compassionate, and committed to promoting student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and tailored support to 10–16 students in a self-contained setting
- Develop and implement IEPs, track student progress, and maintain documentation
- Coordinate and participate in meetings, evaluations, and reporting as needed
- Collaborate closely with school counselors, psychologists, and parents
- Cultivate a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
