Qualifications:
- Active Indiana Teaching License with the appropriate Special Education endorsement
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related teaching area
- Previous experience working with students in resource or essential skills environments preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability with varied learning styles and instructional strategies
- Commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive classroom for all students
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized instructional activities for students receiving special education services
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, staff, and families to develop effective IEPs and ensure student progress
- Utilize data-driven methods to evaluate and adapt instructional tactics based on students’ needs
- Establish positive, encouraging learning environments that nurture student achievement and confidence
- Attend training sessions, team meetings, and professional development as required by the district
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student goals and compliance requirements
This is a full-time contract position covering 183 school days, with the schedule and specific caseloads determined by assignment. The start and end dates will be confirmed upon placement.
