Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education teaching license/certification in Oregon
- Demonstrated experience in behavior-focused elementary classrooms; familiarity with physical aggression, elopement, and intensive interventions is essential
- Strong background running high-volume Learning Resource Classrooms (LRC), supporting an average caseload of 43 students
- Must be able to provide contact information for three most recent supervisor references—this is required for all candidates
- Skilled collaborator, communicator, and problem solver in fast-paced, inclusive educational settings
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction and individualized interventions for students in either elementary Behavior Classrooms or high-volume LRC settings
- Develop and implement IEPs, progress monitoring, and appropriate accommodations or modifications in compliance with district and state requirements
- Foster supportive, inclusive classroom communities and manage a wide array of student needs, from academic to behavioral
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain detailed documentation and rigorous data collection to inform educational decisions
