This full-time, onsite contract covers the upcoming academic year from September 8, 2026, through June 17, 2027. Several positions are available, allowing you to collaborate with a passionate team committed to student growth.
What we're looking for:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification/license in Oregon (required)
- Minimum experience working with elementary students in behavior classrooms, including managing physical aggression and elopement scenarios
- Background overseeing high-volume Learning Resource Classrooms (LRCs) with 40+ students preferred
- Ability to create and implement IEPs tailored to diverse learning needs
- Thorough understanding of behavior management strategies and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, teachers, and support staff
- Must provide contact information for three most recent supervisor references for consideration
Responsibilities:
- Teach and support students in either behavior-focused elementary classrooms or high-volume LRC settings
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Foster a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and service providers to ensure comprehensive student support
- Track student progress and communicate results with families and district partners
