Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Generalist certification (Early Childhood through 6th grade)
- Active Special Education certification (all grade levels)
- Previous experience in Life Skills or self-contained classrooms preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to individualized educational planning and inclusive teaching practices
Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative, individualized instruction to students in self-contained Life Skills classrooms
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, support staff, and families to meet each student’s unique needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Adapt curriculum and instructional methods for diverse learning abilities
