You’ll work weekdays, managing a SDC classroom of Transitional Kindergarten to 2nd grade students—maximum of 14—with the support of two paraprofessionals. Compensation ranges from $40 to $55 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
- Current and active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential required
- Previous experience in Special Education, particularly TK-2 or similar
- Ability to effectively collaborate with paraprofessionals and other educators
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and interventions for students with varied learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitoring individualized goals and progress
- Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide guidance and direction for two classroom paraprofessionals
- Establish consistent communication with families and educational support staff
