Key Qualifications:
- Active California Moderate/Severe Education Specialist credential (required)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting diverse learners
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Provide direct instruction in both individual and small-group settings
- Track student progress and complete regular documentation aligning with educational and compliance standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless integrated services
- Engage families in student learning and collaborate to develop effective support strategies
- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that nurtures confidence and independence
This rewarding contract position runs from August 12th, 2026 through June 3rd, 2027, with full-time hours averaging 7.17 hours each day. Compensation is competitive, ranging from $50 to $60 per hour, based on experience.
