This full-time contract role focuses on Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) and supports children with autism, requiring an active ECSE and AAAS (Autism Authorization) California credential.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current California credentials for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
- Autism Authorization (AAAS) required
- Prior experience providing quality instruction and care in a special education preschool setting
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and the wider school community
- Commitment to maintaining compliance and accurate reporting to meet all standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective educational programming to preschoolers with a range of abilities and needs
- Create an inclusive, supportive, and safe classroom environment
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and team members
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and administration for comprehensive student support
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and strategies
