Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active California Teaching Credential (CTC licensure) required
- Experience supporting intermediate students in a Special Education setting, preferably with Mild/Moderate (M/M) needs
- Strong understanding of current educational best practices for SPED
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom culture
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and monitor progress
- Provide instruction that meets the unique needs of each student within the caseload
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and adapt curriculum as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development
