This full-time, onsite position focuses on serving 6th to 8th graders in a Sales classroom, providing instruction and intervention for students with intermediate disabilities. There may also be the possibility to incorporate virtual components (voco) as the needs of the classroom evolve. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, offering a dynamic and rewarding experience supporting student growth.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential
- Experience supporting students in grades 6-8, particularly those with intermediate disabilities
- Ability to implement differentiated instruction and adapt classroom activities for diverse learners
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with educational teams and families
- Previous experience with virtual or hybrid instruction is a plus
What You'll Do:
- Deliver engaging and individualized instruction for students with special needs in a middle school Sales classroom setting
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and IEP goals tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Monitor progress, collect data, and report on student achievement
- Collaborate with general educators, paraprofessionals, and support staff to promote student inclusion and success
