- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families
- Strong commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
- Positive, professional communicator and team player
- Preference for candidates with prior resource room or elementary experience
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a 0.5 FTE Resource Special Education Teacher at an elementary school site
- Develop, implement, and track IEPs tailored to each student’s academic and behavioral needs
- Facilitate one-on-one and small group instruction utilizing research-based interventions
- Assess student progress and adapt strategies to maximize growth and engagement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate supports within the general education setting
- Actively communicate with parents/guardians, sharing updates and celebrating student achievements
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with federal and state requirements
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
