Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Special Education Certification (NC Special Ed Cert) required
- Experience in a school setting supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and adapt instructional methods to suit individual student goals
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction in alignment with each student’s IEP
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to foster student success
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and goal achievement
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute thoughtful input to support student outcomes
- Adapt teaching materials and methods for varied learning styles and needs
