Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification in Special Education, active and in good standing
- Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of current special education practices, accommodations, and interventions
- Collaborative approach to working with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of each student in accordance with IEPs
- Assess students’ academic, behavioral, and social needs, adapting strategies as needed
- Modify curriculum and classroom materials to ensure accessibility for all learners
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment focused on student success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff to develop strategies and share insights
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
