Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential/certification (state-specific or able to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience in a classroom or resource setting strongly desired
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Dedication to differentiated instruction and student-centered planning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
Your Role Will Include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) catered to student needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and therapists to ensure inclusive instruction
- Providing direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications to support diverse learners
- Tracking student progress, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to IEP meetings
- Fostering a safe, encouraging, and effective learning environment
- Engaging in ongoing communication with families about student growth and resources
