An exciting contract opportunity awaits dedicated Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in self-contained classrooms across elementary, middle, and high school levels. You’ll work with students presenting a range of mild to severe disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and cognitive impairments. You'll play a key role in delivering tailored instruction and support to foster student growth and independence.
Openings are available in the following areas:
- Two positions in Elementary ASD (Self-Contained)
- One position in Middle/High School ASD (Self-Contained)
- One position for a Cognitive Impairments classroom
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License (Substitute certifications are not accepted)
- For High School Autism: Bachelor’s degree with an endorsement in ASD or another special education area, plus a willingness to pursue further coursework for endorsement if not already held (must possess valid SPED certification)
- Emotional Impairments certification or Autism endorsement required
- Experience managing self-contained classrooms and supporting students with varying behaviors
- Ability to work with students with significant and diverse needs
- Flexibility and resilience in engaging with mild to severe behaviors
