Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with intermediate to advanced supported needs (Strat II: ID)
- Familiarity with alternate assessment methods and compliance standards
- Strong instructional, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt materials and strategies to individual learning goals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction and support to students in 5th–8th grade based on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Develop, implement, and monitor specialized curriculum across content areas
- Utilize alternate assessment tools and document progress toward student goals
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student independence and achievement
- Work closely with support staff, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent student support
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all regulatory and reporting requirements
