Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Current state Special Education Teacher certification
- Previous classroom experience, particularly in special education settings, is preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Develop lesson plans and activities that align with curriculum and accommodate varied learning styles
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Foster a supportive, positive, and structured classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development through proactive strategies and interventions
