Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Arizona Special Education teaching certificate
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Prior experience working with middle school students in a resource or special education setting is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and support to students with varying exceptionalities, in both pull-out and inclusive classroom environments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with other educators and families
- Monitor academic and behavioral progress, adjusting strategies to maximize student engagement and achievement
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure a cohesive learning experience
- Foster an encouraging, structured, and respectful classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to comply with federal, state, and district guidelines
