Make a meaningful impact supporting middle and high school students with significant needs by taking on a contract role as a Special Education Teacher working with an adapted curriculum for students with high levels of autism. This rewarding position is based in a dynamic educational environment and will allow you to contribute directly to student growth during the 2026–2027 school year.

Your weekly schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:30pm, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours. The caseload typically consists of 15-18 students, each following the extended content standard, allowing for impactful, individualized instruction and support.

Qualifications:

  • Current Adapted Curriculum licensure required
  • Experience working with middle or high school aged students, preferably within special education settings
  • Strong background supporting students with high-level autism, including implementing individualized strategies
  • Proven ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure student success
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction adapted to the unique learning profiles of each student in alignment with IEP goals
  • Develop and maintain lesson plans that meet extended content standards and support individualized growth
  • Collect and analyze data for ongoing tracking of student progress
  • Collaborate closely with related service providers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Actively communicate with parents and guardians to encourage involvement and support
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and school activities

This contract opportunity begins August 13, 2026 and concludes June 3, 2027, offering consistency and the chance to see real progress throughout the school year.
